The Indochina - Mekong Hash

Initially called the Indochina Hash, the first one was held in Ho Chi Minh City in 1998 and was acclaimed a resounding success, so much so that it was decided that it should be continued on an annual basis.

The second one was then held in Vientiane in October 1999, in conjunction with the Vientiane H3 Run 1000th and continuing each year, it moved consecutively to Phnom Penh, Hanoi, Chiangmai, Yangon, this year to Siem Reap, Cambodia and this year (2005) its back to Vientiane, Lao P.D.R. There will be no Indochina - Mekong Hash in 2006 due to the holding of the 15th Interhash in Chiangmai, Thailand and the surrounding area, with multiple Pre and Post Lubes.

Due to the fact that the Lao banking system is still developing and entering into the 21st century, we are unable to accept cheques. The banks also charge a receiving fee for international bank transfers which makes them very expensive for small amounts of money. To counteract these problems, Pommy Fag (GM of VH3) has very kindly allowed the Hash to use his website to facilitate the online registration and hotel bookings for the 8th Indochina-Mekong Hash here in Vientiane. If anyone is having problems using the online registration system then please email Pommy Fag directly on either vh3@laoshash.com or lee@twclaos.com
