The Lao PDR's newest Hash - Phu Bia Gold Hash House Harriers has been entered into the Hash Heritage Foundation records as follows:

Phu Bai Gold H3, Laos born 17 April 2005 to Founding Father Johnny 'Condom' Johnson out of Sepon H3 as Hash Mother. Midewife Rodger 'Hi Ho Silver' Graham. According to our records your new hash is a great great great great grand-daughter of the Kuala Lumpur H3 [1938] through Singapore H3 [1962], Hong Kong H3 [1970], Vientiane H3 [1981], Vientiane Bush H3 [1997] and Sepon H3 [2002].

The PBGH3 celebrated Run # 6 on Monday, 27th June 2005 and was held at the Phu Kham goldmine face. Runs have been a little erratic due to the pressure of completing the construction of the plant, however since this is now virtually complete and gold to be produced in the next week or so, future Runs will now be held each Sunday. The new G.M. will be Rodger 'Hi Ho Silver' Graham, (ex Sepon H3).

Hashing Atheletics????

Vientiane H3 and Vientiane Bush H3 are proud to announce that they have now been accepted as members of the Lao Amateur Atheletics Federation!

Over US$2,000 raised for Tsunami aid.

The money raised has now been sent To Medan to be included with donations from other Indonesian Hashes.
Our contact 'Stainless' writes from Medan: "We met last night and agreed how we will donate the funds we have raised. The projects we will support are as follows:"
     - Tsu Chi Buddist Foundation who are to build permanent housing for Tsunami victims at a number of locations in Aceh.
     - Local group who are helping schoolchildren with school fees, books, pencils, etc.
     - Rotary Club who are helping Nias earthquake victims who are in hospital in Medan and need operations, medication, etc. (eight individuals).
     - AMURT who are helping re establish brick kiln businesses, train seamstresses, etc.
     - Specific Individuals/families who have lost everything so that they can earn money through their own small business or rent a home to live in (around 10).

"We decided to split our money between all of these recommendations as they came from the various hash chapters who helped raise the money and we believe this is a fair approach. The total needs are far in excess of what we have in total but it every little bit helps."

        

Birth of a New Lao Hash: PHU BIA GOLD H3

Sponsored by INTERMET Engineering, the PBGH3 Run#1 hashed off in style on Sunday, 17th April 2005 @ 17: 15hrs around the Phu Bia mine site in Xaysomboun Special Zone, 200kms from Vientiane which attracted 26 assorted Hashers & Harriettes. Founded by Johnny 'Condom' Johnson, currently still running with the two Vientiane Hashes, VH3 & VBH3 (and also ex-Sepon H3) and hared by Rodger 'Hi Ho Silver' Graham, (ex Sepon H3) the Run, although on the shortish side, meandered through a number of streams and a boggy marsh area - much to the amusement of the local population - with frantic attempts at short-cutting from a number of the Pack. The Circle then took on a life of it's own, with a strong vocal encouragement for 'down down' punishments from a number of ex Sepon Hashers and then even some from the Virgins. Although there was no ice this time (due to inadequate freezing capability, i.e. the G.M. forgot to order it in time), the commencement of a Hash was appreciated by both the Pack & numerous onlookers and looks to continue from strength to strength.
